While everybody tries to get some sleep, Toar is driving the cart. Dreams plague Dagars sleep, and his nightmare wakes everybody. Seeing the little green skinned girl for the first time Dagar pulls his weapon to kill. The rest manages to wrestle the weapon from him and introduce Gru Fasot. Feeling somehow refreshed after the short rest Toar drops them of near the monastery. Now that the mayor is near death they need to hurry and get the herb. Dagar sees it as his task to inform the abbot about the information of an upcoming invasion and the suspicion of poisoning of Dagar’s stepmother. Near the monastery Gru Fasot changes into a rat and disappears into Mitch’s bag.
Brother Healer doesn’t really want to give the herb because it is very dangerous. He interrogates Ashera in a language Dagar is unfamiliar with. In the meanwhile Mitch gets a recipe for the best travel bread from Brother Cook. While eating Gru Fasot looses her power and starts to change back to her normal form. Mitch, with the help of Timor, finds his way to the healer shed where Gru Fasot completely transforms back to her own form, scaring Brother Healer. He immediately fetches the abbot who has a conversation with Gru in her own language. With the map and the information that the mayor is poisoned the abbot urges them to rescue the tribe women.
Brother Healer takes Dagar aside and tells that the herb is very dangerous and that it can cure poison but will keep the victim weak for the rest of his live. Dagar takes an hard choice and instead of helping his father he plans to rescue the tribe women. So the tribe can not be blackmailed into war to invade the kingdom.
Getting supplies for on the road the Abbot offers them the help of Maxwell, a soldier who is visiting the monastery. Travelling through the forest they have an second encounter with the blood red birds, but this time the birds attack. The whole group doesn’t feel sure about their own skills and even are a bit afraid, so they decide to flee instead of battle the birds.
They arrive at the edge of the forest and in the distance they see the farm. The horses are brought back into the forest so they can’t alarm the farm. Slowly crawling closer they get a better view of the farm. On the roofs of the building they can see soldiers.
Although Ragassa is still a secret for the rest, Dagar sends her out to scout. Slithering into the farm house, Dagar directs Ragassa into a kitchen closet. The door of the closet opens and Ragassa tries to hide between the pots and pans but is found. Accidently grabbing her tail the soldier doesn’t know he made a bad decision. A quick bite kills the man on the spot. This puts the farm into chaos.
Note from the DM: Just at the point we were done for the evening, Dagar’s player rolls a natural 20 for Ragassa. The bite and the poison killed the soldier on the spot. Euphoria at the virtual table of course, because nobody expected this.
